Keep it personal.

No matter how much another pays attention to your life, or takes the time to listen to your stories. They never saw and felt what you did during those times and events. They could relate, but not precisely. Even if they read your whole lifetime autobiography, they couldn’t pinpoint the little details that made up the biggest events in your life. No one will ever see things the same way you do, through your eyes. 

The only one that will truly understand you, is you. No one knows you better than yourself. The cold hard truth is, no one cares what happened in your past, but only about who you are today. So if you’re going to let your past effect the person you are today, make sure its positive.
